Describe campus/program, goals, and theory of change

This year's goals are to:

  • Market the STEM opportunities to the core teachers, the rest of the district, and to the community.
  • Shore up the current programs and get them into compliance with CTE codes
  • Connect CTE learning with learning in the core classes

Change is hard. Provide the reasoning for the change. Support and bring them ones in the change process along.

What areas of interest do you have for Technical Assistance (up to 3 areas, rank in order of importance)?

1. Recruiting and promotion

2. Understanding the T-STEM blueprint

3. Resources and info about the changes they are trying to make

What tools or resources would be valuable to your campus to support your implementation of the blueprint?

Resources to help change culture and belief systems about what students can and cannot do.

What have been your challenges and how have you addressed them?

Last year the principal attempted to lead the STEM initiative. But he had no help and, in the end, didn't make any changes. This year they added a Dean of Academics who will lead STEM and will lead much of the changes at the HS going forward.
