Describe campus/program, goals, and theory of change

Monterey STEM will complete a four year pathway in Engineering, Biomedical, or Computer Science as well as completing an AP Capstone project.  They will be admitted and  complete a University level STEM program and become global citizens who will give back to the community.

Describe Blueprint Benchmark strengths

BM 1.-Strong vertical alignment with the middle school, elementary schools and high school in this feeder pattern.  All work together to promote STEM areas.

BM 3- Teachers are well trained, knowledgeable and committed to the success of the school and STEM program

BM 5- Rigor- incredible strong PLTW programs in engineering, computer science, and biomedical.

All CTE certifications because the school is tied to the Advanced Technology Center which offers numerous certifications through the CTE classes: CNA, EMT, Microsoft, etc.

Developing Biomedical partnerships--Advisory board is helping generate some

Increase numbers in the freshman class- numbers are down- we will increase recruiting for programs.

Middle School teacher turn over- once a PLTW teacher is trained, they are taken by other districts, or move, etc
