Describe campus/program, goals, and theory of change

This ECHS is a school within a school. Both the principal and counselor assigned are new to ECHS. The program seems to be blended into the comprehensive. 

Goals:

  • Recruitment and success in college readiness class and on TSI
  • Grow summer bridge
  • Retention
  • Restructure their college intervention class.
Describe Blueprint Benchmark strengths

Campus appears to have a strong relationship with Austin Community College.

Campus offers students many opportunities, such as playing sports, fine arts, and workforce pathways, if the students can handle the work load.

Students in the ECHS have access to certifications that may be earned online or through CTE classes, if taken, such as:

Associate certified veterinary assistant
iCar Collision and Repair

Assistance with master schedule and in separating the ECHS students from the regular HS campus

Both the principal and the counselor are new. They do not know the challenges as yet.

ECHS works with Austin Community College and students are bused their daily. Campus seems to have a good relationship with ACC. Students may use all facilities.
